Soldier

A quick sketch testing Celsys's Illustudio. I think this is the first time I try something manga-like...

Walking Dwarf

I was just trying some new techniques based on changing my mind in many things: level of detail (eliminate, eliminate), contrasts (cool-warm, round-straight, soft edged-hard edged)...

Made with Photoshop.

Mago - Wizard

Trying new drawing techniques, based in creating the initial picture in grayscale, and applying color over it (as it was done with b/w photos before color was invented).
About three hours of work, in Photoshop, no reference used (and no wizards injured).

Searching the lost patrol

A digital painting (click to watch it larger) that has taken some time, mostly because I could only dedicate spare hours (or half hours). My idea was to show the sergeant of a patrol before entering a wood, a forest or similar, when he notices something strange (or an ambush starts...whatever).

I drew the first idea in pencil and scanned it to MyPaint (I LOVE MyPaint). There the soldier was developed, passed to Photoshop for the background, back to MyPaint for more background, and...voilá! Here's the final result.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did while creating it. In the next days I will poste some Photoshop and Gimp brushes I created in the process, as well as a step by step guide...
